History of Wyckoff NJ

The area that is Wyckoff NJ in the present day was initially a part of the Saddle River Township. It was in 1771 that the Saddle River Township was divided, and the area that Wyckoff was a part of became Franklin Township. There were 100 families residing in Franklin Township by 1755, of which the Wyckoff area had no more than 20 residents. The name of Franklin Township was officially changed to the Township of Wyckoff owing to the votes from the residents on 2nd November, 1926.
